Sometimes all you need is something like a Google search on the internet to find an article from this popular source type. Other times, you may need to use the resources of the library to gain full-text access to an article if you run into a paywall. You can find thousands of magazine articles online through our databases.

(We also have some magazines in our physical print collections in the library. Our library staff can direct your to the print collections in the library on your campus.)

If you know the title of the article or the title of the magazine you want to find an article in, learn how to find out if the library has access in this FAQ.

If you don't know the title of the article or magazine, you can still find magazine articles. Some of our databases have categorized the article types, allowing you to limit to magazines (such as our Ebsco databases):

  1. From the library's homepage, click on the Articles & Databases link.
  2. Select a database such as Ebsco's Academic Search Premierwhich is one that allows you sort the results to include ONLY magazine articles.
  3. Perform a search. Then, select all filters to get the right-side popup to come up. Scroll down to "Source Types" within the popup and limit to Magazines:

Some databases on the A-Z List, such as JSTOR and ScienceDirect, only include scholarly/peer-reviewed journals in the database, so these are not good places to look for magazine articles.

Note that you will be prompted to log into MyTCC before accessing the library databases.
