Physical material typically arrives within the span of 1-2 weeks after your request, but it may take longer. It all depends on the availability of the item (how hard it was to find a library to supply that holds the work) and the mailing policies of the lending library (how quickly they respond to requests once it reaches them). Some books are rarer than others, or some items are in high demand. It may take us time to find a library willing to lend and additional time for the lending library to send it through the mail. Likewise, all ILLs are processed through the Access Services Office at the Northeast Campus Library. So, choosing Northeast as your pickup location will result in a quicker pickup timeframe start, due to the fact it is not having to go through inter-campus mail to another TCC campus.

For article copy requests or scan requests, the average turnaround time is a few days but might be the same day depending on a number of factors. Copy requests are usually sent electronically.

You can access My Library Account on the Library's home page, and choose "Requests" to see the status of a particular ILL request.
