TCC students, faculty, and staff with valid TCC T#s can request materials not owned by TCC through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). You can request a materials such as books, DVDs, and articles (materials that libraries "hold" or own) for free through this service.

Typically, you place ILL requests by discovering the item you need (but that the TCC library does not have) through the Discovery Catalog Search, accessible on the Library Homepage. After selecting a title to open the result from the search results list, select the blue button on the item record result to begin your ILL request. The button will look like this, in the place of a "Place a Hold" button if we had held the item:

After selecting the button, you may be prompted to choose a pickup library location, etc.

It can take around of 5 to 10 business days for physical item delivery to arrive at your campus library from the lending library once one agrees to supply, sometimes longer. Article requests often take much less time to be filled because they most often are sent electronically (as copies of the material), and are sometimes even filled within a few hours, best case scenario. When your item is available, you will be emailed.

If you have requested material the library already owns or grants access to in some fashion, it may be cancelled or filled as a document delivery request.

The format of supplied requests may be outside of the TCC Library's control, and we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the compatibility, readability, playback, conversion, or functionality of such materials. The requestor is responsible for obtaining any necessary software, devices, or equipment required to access, display, or use the requested content.
