Yes, you can download Microsoft Office products for free as a TCC student or employee! Microsoft Office 365 downloads are available to students and staff at no cost as long as your email is active.

(!) However, if you have a device that does not allow for downloads, like a Chromebook, you will not be able to download the software to that device and instead will have to use the online version. (!)

Students and employees have free access to the online Office 365, which includes a suite of web-based versions of Office products like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel in web-based form. To get to these apps, please login to your student email (through MyTCC) and then select your app launcher (sometimes called "the hamburger" or "the waffle") to view the dropdown list of available products. This is is the app launcher:

Downloading Office 365 software:

1. Make sure that any previous version of Office has been uninstalled from your computer before attempting to install a new version. Please be aware that downloading this from TCC will sync personal documents that might already be on your computer with your student account. Please also note that Chromebooks will not allow you to download this software and you will have to use the online version on such a device. If needing a workaround to that, all library computers have the downloaded/client/desktop version installed.

2. If you are on campus, make sure you are connected to the internet.

3. Go to MyTCC, then Student and select Software Downloads:

5. Select Install Office:

6. Select the version you will need for your device. Follow the directions shown.

Please contact TCC's help desk, the Student Support Center, at 918-595-2000 or StudentSupportCenter@tulsacc.edu to report issues or if you need more help downloading.

  1. I don't know what's wrong, but I don't have the option for the software download in my Quick Links. In fact, I don't have most of the options shown on the screenshot, with only Blackboard, Financial Aid, One Drive, Campus Life, Fuel Pantry, Report a Concern, Degree Works, Library, Starfish, Email, MyTCC Feedback (Which is occupying the area in which the student software link shown in the screenshot is) and Student Resources. I've spent about an hour digging, and I can't find the option to get the software through TCC at all.

  2. If you are having trouble, please call the TCC Student Support Center, as there might be an issue with how your account is set up: https://www.tulsacc.edu/student-resources/support-center
