If you have been told to find an article from a specific periodical (magazine, journal, or newspaper, for example), published in the last 5 years, see this FAQ. Keep in mind, where you search is going to depend on the material type you are needing. 

Our catalog and databases have options to limit to specific dates/years after or before doing a search. The catalog searches a lot of our databases all at once, meaning it will find articles, ebooks, print books, videos, and more that you can limit to publication timeframes. 

The catalog's limiters are on the left side after doing a search, for example: 

You can select a filter or enter in your own dates in this interface, after doing a search.

You can also limit before searching in an advanced search for the catalog

Many of our databases have similar filters as well.
