The CRAAP Test was used as a way to evaluate sources. However, there has been a movement to move to the SIFT Method (link below to more information), as it gets students to think more critically about a source.

CRAAP is an acronym for a series of questions one can use to help evaluate the quality and reliability of an informational resource, whether it is a book, an article, website, or other type of source. It stands for:

Currency,

Relevance,

Authority,

Accuracy, and

Purpose are the broad criteria considered when applying the CRAAP test.
