We are sorry to hear that the search engines aren't giving good results. Here are some tips:

  • In both the catalog and databases, it might be you need to use different search terms. See this FAQ on how to form better searches and the importance of search terms.
  • If you are searching one of the library's article databases and retrieving no results, the two causes usually are either spelling errors or the search is worded too specifically (i.e. typing a question into an article database as opposed to entering one or two keywords).
  • If you are using the search box (Discovery Search) on the library's homepage, it is possible that the results will take a long time to load. Our Discovery Search box pulls results from many databases and can take quite a while to bring back search results.
