Library instruction works best when students have a meaningful research assignment that requires use of library resources. Before the scheduled session, discuss the assignment with your class and please provide details of the assignment to the instruction librarian. Explain to your students why they are coming to the library.

**We require instructors to attend library instruction sessions with their classes. When you are present and engaged, students are more attentive and engaged.

You can also emphasize certain points discussed in the session, or ask the librarian to address additional topics when you schedule library instruction for your class.
