To use an ebook from one of our subscription databases requires MyTCC credentials (T-number and password) and using our proxied links (the TCC Library uses single sign on to authenticate your credentials; just searching online for a vendor or ebook and trying to access with your MyTCC login will not authenticate you). If you are not already logged in and try to access an ebook from our links, you will be prompted.

If you are able to log into MyTCC but continue to experience problems accessing it, here are other considerations:

1. The subscription limit on the number of simultaneous users may have been reached. Try the ebook again at a later time. For example, some vendors set a limit of 2 simultaneous users per book. This sometimes means the ebook has been essentially "checked out."

2. Heavy server traffic may be timing out the connection - try connecting again later. Or, the vendor site may be down.

3. Are you using a link that has timed out to try and access? If you did not grab a permalink, but rather the url in the address bar, that may be specific to only that search session. You will need to find the item again. Try searching for it by title in the Discovery catalog. You must use the library's proxied links from the library website if it is a TCC subscription database the ebook is coming from.

4. Try accessing it in a different browser (Chrome, Mircosoft Edge, Firefox, etc.). You might check your browser settings to make sure it is not being blocked. Clear your cache (clear browsing data) and try logging in again.

If you have tried all the above and it is still not working, please use the contact information on the Ask Us page to report your problem with a specific Library electronic resource you were trying to access, such as an article database or e-resource. Including links will also help us troubleshoot.
