The TCC Library does have circulating DVDs and Blu Rays for checkout across our campuses. Those are typically a 7 day (1 week) checkout for all patron types with a max of 2 at a time. A Discovery Catalog search on the library homepage will allow you to see if we have a particular film, whether it be streaming or hardcopy, and allow you to place a hold for pickup at any of our library locations if the policy of that item allows.

All of our films/videos are listed in the library catalog (DVDs, Blu Rays, and streaming videos from our databases). Search there by the film's title to see if we hold it and for access options. If streaming, it will present a button link to the database where the film is hosted. If we do not hold a film, you will be presented with an option to interlibrary loan it (but please note, streaming videos cannot be interlibrary loaned). See this FAQ on more details about how to search or see the steps below for a quick path:

1.Go to Videos link on the library's homepage.
2.Type your keywords (perhaps the title) in the search box.
This method will retrieve results limited to videos/DVDs only.

Note: Sometimes an instructor may place a dvd or video not owned by the library on Reserve and, like Reserve textbooks, those copies cannot leave the library. You may watch Reserved films on campus within the library. We also have DVD players available to view the films at our computers. Check with the campus library where your class is held if the DVD or video is not listed in the catalog, as we may need to correct an issue.

To tell if a DVD is on the Reserves shelf or available at a specific campus for checkout, the location information in the catalog record result will specify. Just click on the title to open up the detail record and scroll down to "Check Availability." Here's that process, as two screens, side by side:
