There are several reasons why you might experience trouble when accessing a TCC database or another electronic resource. Please note that if you are not already logged into MyTCC, it will prompt you to put in your credentials (T-number and password) before accessing.

Things to check:

  1. Are you using the library's links? Googling a database that your instructor has recommended and trying to search from there might not give you access or prompt you to log in. You must use the library's proxied links from the library website if it is a TCC database.
  2. Was it a link given to you in a blackboard course? The link may not be the permalink to the database resource. The URL might have timed out. Alert the instructor.
  3. Try accessing it in a different browser (Chrome, Mircosoft Edge, Firefox, etc.). You might check your browser settings to make sure it is not being blocked. Clear your cache (clear browsing data) and try logging in again.
  4. If you have tried this and it is still not working, please use the contact information on the Ask Us page to report your problem with a specific Library electronic resource such as an article database or e-resource.

If you are experiencing login problems with ALL of the library databases, this might point to a problem with MyTCC or an Internet provider firewall (typically at a workplace). Please contact the Library staff via the Ask Us page to report your problem.
