Be sure that you are using the links to JSTOR or any other database that are listed off the Library Website's "Articles and Databases" link. These are proxied links and will prompt you to log in using your MyTCC (our SSO) credentials if you have not already logged in to MyTCC, authenticating you that way so that no personal account should be necessary for searching or downloading. For instance, you should not just google JSTOR or Ebsco databases and then expect to being searching and downloading. You must be authenticated for access to our subscription. 

Your MyTCC login acts as a gate key or pass, but you can still create a personal account in some of our databases that, in theory, can carry over to other institutions that offer that same product or so you can save your research history. But please note that just because you create an account doesn't mean you will always be authenticated after using that account. You must still use the proxied links off the library website to access our subscription content with any account.
