Please use our Suggest a Resource Form to begin the process. Please check that we don't already have a streaming version of the film by searching the catalog. Learn more about doing that here.

It is important to note that some born-digital content on certain streaming platforms will not allow us to purchase rights, because they only license their content to individual subscribers, not institutions (such as Netflix or Amazon Prime-exclusive content). Many platforms allow their content to be streamed for free (Tubi, YouTube), so you might be sure that it is not online first before requesting. But be aware that just because something is online does not mean it was posted there legally by the copyright holder. We do not recommend linking to or directing students to content unless you can verify it is legally posted. If you have questions about the copyright status of a link you have found, please contact the Access Services Office librarian.

Please also note the cost of subscription-based content. It might be out of our budget to acquire rights, and we prioritize based on need.
