This sometimes happens! The circulation system and the interlibrary loan system don't sync perfectly, so the interlibrary loan one assumes you've picked up/checked out the item you've requested and is letting you know it is due to be sent back soon. You will not be held responsible if you never checked out the item.

However, the notices are important if you wanted to attempt a renewal of your item in case you did still need the material. If you're getting overdue notices, this means the item hold will soon expire and be routed back to the supplying library.
