The data plans for hotspots checked out from the TCC Library are unlimited and there is no throttling, however, our provider, Mobile Beacon, employs Quality of Service practices (QoS) to reduce network congestion during times of peak usage.
The data meter that the Franklin T9 hotspots display shows how much data can be used before our provider begins to employ QoS, which means that the hotspot's connection speed may be slowed during times of network congestion. Before the limit is reached, your connection speed will not be intentionally slowed by our provider.
The Franklin T9 hotspot screen will also display a cycle end date, which is the date the data usage meter resets to zero every month.
