Please note this information is subject to change. It is recommended you call the campus library ahead of time to verify how many computers (if any) have Respondus before going. The Testing Center locations also should have computers with this software. 

 

It can be tricky to know which Respondus Lockdown Browser will work for your test, because there are multiple versions now. Some computers have the version installed for TCC. Pearson, for example has their own version. So if a Math student comes in to take a test for example and is using Pearson the student will need the Pearson version of the Lock Down Browser, even though the test is accessed through TCC’s blackboard.


Metro Campus Library - has Respondus on all computers 

Southeast Campus Library - has Respondus on all computers

Northeast Campus Library and Facet Center - all computers in Facet should have Respondus 

West Campus Library - has Respondus on all computers

 

If you are experiencing issues with LockDown Browser, it is imperative that you update the software following these steps:

How to update LockDown Browser        

   

For Windows users, start Respondus LockDown Browser, select the “i” button from the toolbar, and then click “Check for Newer Version”. The version will be displayed and you will be able to download a newer version if one is available.

The updated version will be downloaded. 

Please ensure you are running the newest version when accessing exams.

 

For Mac users, start Respondus LockDown Browser, select “About” from the toolbar, and then click “Check for Update.” The version will be displayed and you will be able to download a newer version if one is available.

You can also update LockDown Browser by downloading and running the full installation program again.
