Initial inspiration for the project came from an observation regarding the many churches within walking distance of TCC’s Metro Campus, coupled with faculty members’ classroom encounters with students who had very limited knowledge of religious groups and practices. Whatever students’ religious affiliation or non-affiliation, there is no denying that religion has significantly influenced Tulsa-area history and culture, and it is important for students to understand that.
