Our Discovery catalog and many of our databases have journal content. The catalog searches through a lot of our databases all at once. Here's an example search for peer reviewed nursing journal results in the catalog. (To verify if a journal is peer reviewed or not, we recommend learning more in this FAQ)

If you click on a result of a journal from the catalog, it will list the databases which hold content for that title under "Access Online"  in the record. This video shows you what that looks like (no audio):

If you have been told to search a database directly, here's some recommended steps:

From our library's homepage,
1.Click on Articles & Databases
2. Select Nursing, Allied Health, & Health Sciences in the Subjects drop down menu.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition and CINAHL (both in Ebscohost) and Nursing & Allied Health (Proquest) databases are recommended databases that work well as starting points for research in a wide variety of nursing and health sciences topics.

All of these research databases offer features that allow you to limit your search results to full-text, peer-reviewed journal articles.

If you need additional assistance, please see the Nursing Resources Guide or contact a TCC Librarian at any campus Library location.
