TCC students, faculty, and staff with valid TCC ID cards can request materials not owned by TCC through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). You can request a book, dvd, or a magazine/journal article for free through this service.
Typically, you place ILL requests by discovering the item you need (but that the library does not have) through the Discovery Catalog Search, accessible on the Library Homepage. You must select the blue button on the item record result to begin your ILL request. The button will look like this:
After selecting the button, you will be prompted to select a pickup library location and etc.
It can take around 5 to 10 business days for physical item delivery to arrive at your campus library from the lending library. Magazine and journal article requests often take much less time to be filled because they may be sent electronically, and are sometimes even filled within a day or two. When your item is ready to be picked up, you will be emailed.
You can check on the status of your ILL requests by logging into "My Library Account" in the library Discovery Catalog and selecting "My ILL Requests." For example:
