Q. Where can I look for general topic ideas for a paper?

Many of our Research Guides offer topic ideas depending on the subject or topic you are writing about, but the Choosing a Topic tab on our Composition I guide is an excellent general place to start for topic ideas. There is a brief list of article databases within a Finding a Research Topic box on the guide's Choosing a Topic page. The databases provide a list of possible research topics.
