Q. Where can I find biographical information about a famous person?

One of the Library's research databases, Gale's Biography in Context, is a good resource for finding information about famous and/or influential people, including historical figures and pop-culture celebrities.  Biography in Context pulls together articles and features from reliable sources, including specialized encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers, media, and scholarly journals.
 

To get started, go to the Library's website:
1. Click on Articles & Databases.
3. Scroll down and select Biography in Context.
4. Type the name of your person in the search box at the top of the database's landing page to find information.

To search for biographies about a specific person in the Library's book collection, use the book search link available on the Library's homepage. 

Enter the person's name and search.  Once a list of book title results is displayed, it is helpful to limit your results to Tulsa Community College Library, using the filters at the left of the display screen. You can also select your preferred book format in the left column. of the screen.
