TCC uses the Library of Congress (LC) Classification System to shelve books by subject. The letters stand for the different subject areas. The Dewey Decimal system uses numbers instead. Most academic libraries use LC, however. Chances are, if you find one book in the area you're researching, other relevant books will be shelved beside it! Many of the TCC Library locations have blue posters hanging in the library which outline the information below as well.
