Yes, you can search more than one database at one time, and there are a few different ways to accomplish this!
Method 1: If you use the Discovery Search box on the Library's homepage, you'll be searching a number of different databases (all the main ones!) simultaneously. Most of these are article databases, but Discovery is also our catalog, so you will get book and video results as well. After doing a search, you can limit to ARTICLES on the left side of the results screen, even PEER REVIEWED articles!
Method 2: To search multiple databases simultaneously for ONLY ARTICLES directly (a catalog search with the filters already set), you can use the search box found on the A-Z Databases listing page (Click on the Articles & Databases link from the home page) or by going here.
Method(s) 3: Another good way to search more than one database at a time is to use a specific vendor's search, which searches all databases we subscribe to from that vendor if the platform offers it. This will be different depending on the vendor/platform. But, for example, to search multiple EBSCOhost databases: use this FAQ or go to any EBSCOhost database (using our proxied library links on the A-Z list) and then click on the hyperlinked "Searching" text (above the top search box) to be taken to a page that shows you what's already pre-selected. Place a check mark next to the databases you want to search and then "Select" to change the Ebsco databases your search will use.
THEN:
To search multiple Gale databases all at once, simply use Gale's Power Search database to select the databases you wish to search through all at once.
